Some 90s Nostalgia! B*Witched Are Playing This Year's Dublin Pride

Drop everything you're doing! B*Witched will be performing at this year's Dublin Pride festival. B*Witched are the headlining act for Drag Queen powerhouses Victoria Secret and Davina Devine annual "Pride POP-Up Party" at Vicar Street, Saturday 29th June. Cheesy pop, 90s nostalgia and drag queens, sounds like the perfect way to celebrate pride.

The Irish girl group burst on the scene in 1998 with their debut single "C'est La Vie". The song was a major success and reached number one in the charts not only at home here in Ireland but across the globe in countries including the United Kingdom and New Zealand. The four-piece girl band is made up of twin sisters and sisters to Boyzone's Shane Lynch, Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou, and Sinéad O'Carroll. B*Witched can also be credited with the 90s denim fashion trend. Following the release of "C'est La Vie" which saw the band dressed head-to-toe in denim, every Irish girl rushed out to buy outfits to mimic these new popstars.

Across the pond, the Spice Girls were making waves in the music scene with the girl power movement. B*Witched was Ireland's answer to the Spice Girls, a band every Irish girl looked up to, learned all the words to songs and tried to emulate. They sang with Dublin accents with lines "I fight like me Da as well" and broke out into Irish dancing gigs in the middle of songs. These homegrown popstars were just what the girls of Ireland needed in the 90s.

Tickets for this event go on sale Monday 15th April at 9 am from Ticketmaster.
