These days, what with modern technology having made a rudimentary knowledge of basic geography entirely redundant - after all, who needs to know that the capital of Lichtenstein is Vaduz when you can simply Google the fact - it seems that the only people who need an extensive working knowledge of the main cities in Europe are pub quiz aficionados and high-ranking Russian military generals hatching plans to annex further tracts of European land.
With this in mind - and assuming that you fall into neither of these camps - I imagine that your knowledge of most European cities is, and I don't use this word lightly, scant.
After about 15 you'll be well into the rough, with little sight of a friendly capital city in sight.
