Rumours have been circulating for months as to who will replace Andrew Garfield in the Spiderman franchise. Every young actor in Hollywood has been suggested for the role but Marvel have finally announced who will be taking over as the webbed crusader.
Tom Holland has been named as the new Peter Parker. Now you might not have heard of him (us neither, don't worry) but he's a bit of a cutie. He may only be 19 years old, but he has some serious acting credentials. Holland has starred in Locke and The Impossible, two critically acclaimed movies.

I know what you're thinking: Why oh why do they need to make ANOTHER Spiderman movie?! Well apparently what will set this apart is that this incarnation will be part of the Marvel universe, giving them the opportunity to add yet another superhero to their already oversized posse. Yep, The Avengers will have someone else to make their asinine jokes to. (No disrespect to Joss Whedon who I adore and would like to marry please and thank you.)
Now I'm sure Tom Holland is an absolute delight but I think we can all agree that the Spiderman franchise has been done to death and it might be time to just stop the madness.
