Hozier has apologised for accidentally uploading a video to his Instagram story of him with a 'Handsome Squidward' Instagram filter on his face.
It isn't the first Instagram stories mishap that the Bray native has had, with his 1.6 million followers seeing a video of him bemoaning badgers. The badger video, much like the Handsome Squidward video, was meant for his 'close friends' story on Instagram.

This was yet another mishap from the 'Take Me To Church' singer, and he apologised profusely for what he had done.
"Hahahah Inconsolable weeping christ. That Handsome Squidward content was Just For the Boys®.
"Pray for me. Thank you."

His apology was detailed in a string of different stories where the singer continually referenced his mortification for his filter misdeeds.
"If you have no idea what I’m talking about please don’t look at this just move on.
"If you do, you never saw that.
"I’m so mortified. I’m not high.
"I pressed the wrong button and then my phone shit the bed and then I couldn’t delete it fast enough.
"And I come back to it and it’s seen by a rake of people.

"You live by the Squidward filter, you die by the Squidward filter. I’m so sorry. Never again.
"I’m still in bits. You’re all drinking in the chaos on Twitter, God bless.
"Thanks for understanding."
It's possibly the most sincere apology we've ever heard, and he didn't even need to atone for anything.
Furthermore, we can gather two things from this ordeal.
The first is that we should all be in agreement that Hozier is a national treasure and we should all love him dearly.
Secondly, "You live by the Squidward filter, you die by the Squidward filter" is now our life motto.
