Everyone loves a day out at the amusements! The adrenaline rush of a rollercoaster, the screams of children on the merry-go-round, overpriced food, spending €20 to win a teddy bear that costs practically nothing are all valid reasons to go to an amusement park. As great as all that might be, do you find after a long day at an amusement park you might need a rest from all the strenuous activities that have taken place that day? Well, look no further! The most bizarre theme park concept has been created in Beppu City, Japan, and it could be a reality very soon.
The theme park will be named Spamusement Park and it combines, wait for it, a classic amusement park that is also a spa day... Has that sunk in yet? Beppu City hosts the largest source of hot springs in the world. The city council decided to create the concept of Spamusement after non-Japanese tourism doubled in the city in the last 5 years. The marketing campaign sought out to gain over 1,000,000 views on the Spamusement video but far exceeded the original amount. No details of the actual rides have been confirmed yet but the idea is both hilarious and fascinating and I personally can't wait to see the park in its entirety.
Have a goo at the concept video for Spamusement and laugh yourself silly!
