A man of his word, Lil Nas X arrived to the school today for his surprise concert. What followed next is one of the cutest performances of a hit rap song you'll ever see. A whole school absolutely going mad and belting out the song. As the man himself says, its one of the most important live performances he'll ever do

The song "Old Town Road" became a meme and a viral hit through the app TikTok. 'Old Town Road' was released on December 3rd, 2018. The relatively unknown song from the unsigned singer went viral as a result of people using on TikTok. As a result, Lil Nas X has now signed to Columbia Record and his debut hit 'Old Town Road' has gone to No 1. in the Billboard charts.
In an interview with Time, Lil Nas X spoke about how the song took on a life of its own on TikTok:
I promoted the song as a meme for months until it caught on to TikTok and it became way bigger. I was pretty familiar with TikTok: I always thought its videos would be ironically hilarious. When I became a trending topic on there, it was a crazy moment for me. A lot of people will try to downplay it, but I saw it as something bigger.
The reaction from these elementary school kids is priceless, fair play Lil Nas X.
