Netflix has announced its next interactive venture, after the success of Black Mirror's Bandersnatch that sent everyone into a tizzy.
Even though, there were mixed reviews on the actual episode 'Bandersnatch', it was clear that people enjoyed being in control of which way the story goes.
No more shouting at the TV 'Don't go in there!', or asking why the characters are so stupid, now you'll be able to decide their fate, and you'll only have yourself to blame.
Netflix has announced that they will be doubling down on the amount of interactive shows they will be releasing, making it an everyday part of our Netflix binge. Netflix VP of product, Todd Yellin, delivered the news at the media and entertainment conference, FICCI-Frames,
“It’s a huge hit here in India, it’s a huge hit around the world, and we realised, wow, interactive storytelling is something we want to bet more on,” Yellin said.
“We’re doubling down on that. So expect over the next year or two to see more interactive storytelling. And it won’t necessarily be science fiction, or it won’t necessarily be dark. It could be a wacky comedy. It could be a romance, where the audience gets to choose – should she go out with him or him.”
To start off this new era of TV, Netflix is giving survivalist extravaganza, Bear Grylls, the chance to virtually bring us along on one of his outrageous expeditions.

The adventures will take place on a number of challenging terrains, where you will get the chance to make some life-threatening decisions on Gryll's behalf.
“I’m so proud to deliver this first-of-its-kind live-action interactive series, really giving viewers an all access pass to explore the world and its landscapes in my boots,” Grylls said in a statement. “The stakes are high in this one!”
You vs. Wild, an eight-episode long series, will be available to stream starting April 10th.
