Kingdom Of Us is one of the latest additions to the Netflix library. The documentary directed by Lucy Cohen follows Vickie Shanks and her seven children in the West Midlands who are trying to trying to come to terms with their father's suicide in 2007. Using interviews with the family and as well as archive footage from the family's extensive home video tapes Cohen paints an intimate picture of a man struggling to cope with his mental health.

The film is mainly about mental health told through the story of the family. Six of the children in the film are on the autism spectrum.

I hope it raises a lot of awareness for mental health and also for autism and how autism affects the way you recover from things like this.
