The New Netflix Serial Killer Thriller Looks Absolutely Exceptional

We all love a good thriller, don't we? There's nothing like a gripping psychological drama to really get the adrenaline pumping.

The new Netflix detective series Mindhunter tells the story of two FBI agents, Holden Ford and Bill Tench, as they introduce criminal profiling to the crime unit in an effort to catch serial killers and rapists.

The man behind the intensive 1979 based series has a list of impressive credentials. David Fincher knocked it out of the park with the likes of Fight Club, Gone Girl and Se7en and the first two episodes of House of Cards.

The thriller show is based on the 1996 book Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit by former FBI agent John Douglas. Interestingly, albeit chillingly, in his search to understand the psyche of a serial killer, Douglas interviewed some of America's most infamous murderers including Ted Bundy and Charles Manson.

In the series the character, Holden Ford, is based on John Douglas and played by Jonathan Groff who previously starred in Glee and HBO's Looking.
