The internet is full of strange and mysterious things and today is no different. Twitter has lit up with the notion that Pennywise the Clown from is really a gay icon who's dating the Babadook.
The internet has grown fond of making monsters from horror and assuming their LGBTQIA identity. Junes month of Pride was inundated with images of the Babadook after Netflix categorised the horror movie as a LGBTQIA film. Fans took it upon themselves to read the film as the Babadook's tale of "coming out".
Here's what fans of the new IT movie had to say on Twitter about the relationship between the two monsters of horror, who are being dubbed "Hollywood's new IT couple":

I want to love the Babadook/Pennywise as queer thing but honestly "monsters who terrorize children BUT QUEER" makes me feel exhausted.

Are Pennywise and the Babadook the new Bonnie and Clyde of the horror world? Personally, I think it might be a bit problematic to have LGBT people be symbolized as monsters who terrorize children... Just sayin'.
Pennywise has surprisingly become a bit of sex symbol though, thanks to actor Bill Skarsgard who plays the sexy terrifying clown:

Others weren't so sure:
If you can look at Bill Skarsgard without seeing Pennywise the clown, you are a better person than me.
