Danny DeVito gets up to some real nasty stuff in his role as Frank Reynolds on It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Who can forget him sliding around the floor of Paddy's pub, hairless and covered in Vaseline. Or climbing naked out of a couch. Or the whole business with Boko Haram, or the illicit activities with his niece, or running a sweatshop in Vietnam. The list is endless. Danny DeVito loves his role as the most degenerate man on television, which allows him to live vicariously through the character. It's a natural progression from there to playing a superhero, I think we can agree.
A petition calling for DeVito to be the next Wolverine is doing the rounds online. Nearly 20,000 people have signed it already. It wouldn't be DeVito's first role in a superhero movie having played the villainous Penguin in Batman Returns.
Change.org petitions are usually a massive waste of time, and nobody pays any attention to them, but the image of DeVito as Wolverine is just too funny.
The petition states: "The only man able to take the throne after Hugh Jackman. We believe that if Wolverine is to make an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that the only man able to pull it off is Danny DeVito."
