Last year, it was announced that the '90s sitcom would be getting a reboot on Netflix and fans were excited to say the least. Since then, a famous actress has been cast in the role of Sabrina and we've been drip fed tid-bits of what to expect from the new show. Still, we've a few questions to ask about the Sabrina the Teenage Witch reboot.
1. What exactly do we know so far?
The series will be based on the Archie Comics graphic novel The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Although the project was originally in development at The CW as a companion show to the Riverdale series, it's said that it will stream on Netflix with two 10-episode series having already been planned.
The new version will provide a dark take on the original Sabrina, “in the vein of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist and finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature as a half-witch, half-mortal while fighting the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit," as described by The Hollywood Reporter.

Riverdale fans will be delighted to hear that creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa will be writing the pilot and Lee Toland Krieger will be directing while Mad Men and Feud star Kiernan Shipka will take on the role of Sabrina. Shipka recently starred alongside Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange in Feud: Bette and Joan. It's also been announced that The Vampire Diaries' Jaz Sinclair will play Sabrina's best friend Rosalind.
Most recently, it was announced that the hilarious Salem had been cast.

Which brings us to our next question.

2. What will the show's take on Salem be?
Salem graduated from a non-speaking cat in the comic books to a sassy, comedic feline with his own dark back story, following the massive popularity of the '90s series. It was revealed the character was a witch sentenced to spend a century as a cat, with no magical powers.
We don't know whether Salem will talk but it's unlikely giving the show's dark new twist. The cat's plans for world domination in the sitcom were pretty lighthearted, a far fry from the sinister comic book version. Will the latest Salem be a fan favourite?
3. Who will play Hilda and Zelda?

While we don't know yet who will play Sabrina's aunties, their characters are said to be similar to how they were in the original. Hilda is described as ‘the kinder of the two’, while Zelda’s ‘sternness and tough facade might be hiding a more…mothering soul’.
Who could play the famous characters? Christina Applegate as Zelda while Kirsten Dunst could play her younger sister Hilda? We can see it!
4. Will Melissa Joan Harte make an appearance?
Surely there can't be a Sabrina reboot without a cameo from the actress who played the much loved original? While there are no plans at this stage for the actress to feature in the reboot, Hart responded when asked whether she would consider making an appearance in the new series, telling Entertainment Weekly:

Never say never, but it would depend on the character they wrote.
I just don’t know where I would fit in. I would definitely take a look at the material if they sent it along.
Doesn't sound like a no anyway!
5. Will there be throwbacks to the 90s sitcom?
While it's clear that the new version will be darker, edgier take on the original, we're still rooting that there be some references to the beloved sitcom.
An episode that focuses on Sabrina's obsession with pancakes? Will she 'cut the cheese' again and pull a permanent redner? Will her best mate get a dodgy haircut like BFF Jenny did in the sitcom? Only time will tell.

6. Who will play the role of Harvey?
Harvey digs Sabrina! Harvey Kinkle was everyone's favourite TV crush back in the day, played by Nate Richert. While there's no word yet who will play Sabrina's high school sweetheart, fans are waiting with bated breath.
7. Who will be Sabrina's Nemesis?
Glory, Spike, Bad Angel.. Buffy had a few arch enemies in her time so surely a dark Sabrina will come with an enemy in tow?
Another Libby style character that comes in the shape of a bitchy cheerleader? Or perhaps an evil witch that tries to tempt Ms. Spellman over to the dark side? Maybe a goodie two shoes teacher who has a sinister side? The possibilities are endless.
