Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie attended an Oscars lunch yesterday, ahead of the much anticipated awards extravaganza.

Both ladies are nominated in the prestigious Best Actress category - Saoirse for her role in Lady Bird and Margot for I, Tonya - and these photos are the epitome of a very beautiful Hollywood friendship.

When the stars bumped into each other at recent Golden Globes, they looked like the pals that would miss out on the best tunes in the nightclubs 'cos they'd be too busy having the chats in the toilets.

Margot Robbie has previously said that these events are made all the better because she gets to spend time with Carlow native. When someone says Saoirse Ronan will be there, "I'm like sick, I get to hang out with Saoirse when I get there, great."

Fans are loving the pair and are SUPER excited that the actresses will be the sharing the screen together in the Mary, Queen of Scots movie.
