The trailer for Seven Seconds, Netflix's new mystery thriller has left us absolutely gripped - a promising sign for what's to come in the series.
Seven Seconds focuses on the death of 15-year old Brenton Butler, an African American, and the subsequent police cover up that follows. As Jersey city erupts with racial tension, Brenton's family search for justice.
In the clip, we see a heated exchange between the boy's devastated parents. Isaiah Butler (Russell Hornsby) tells Latrice Butler (Regina King), "The only one who might ever know [what happened] is God" to which she powerfully responds, "God didn't run my son down in the street and leave him to die. A man did that."
We can't wait to binge watch the 10-episode series when it hits Netflix on February 23.
