Later on tonight, the biggest pop-culture party of the year is hitting our screens for another star-studded night. The MTV awards is one of the most anticipated award shows of the year, with hundreds of celebs showing up to be celebrated for some of the biggest achievements of their careers.
With some of the most classic moments in pop-culture history, such as Kanye’s “I’ma let you finish” interruption when Taylor was awarded best female video, Modanna and Britney’s kiss, Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke’s performance that made us all so very uncomfortable, and now, to add to the list, a Hills reunion.
The cast of The Hills are reuniting on the red carpet of the VMAs for the first time in years, with a rumoured reunion announcement being made. Unfortunately, not all of the cast will be available, or bothered enough for a reunion, but the few who are, are very positive about maybe meeting up to bring back the memories of some of the most dramatic moments in reality TV history.
Kristin Cavallari, Heidi and Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port are most likely to come together for the rumoured reunion, but some other cast members are not so happy about the idea.
The star who will be missed the most is Lauren Conrad (LC), one of the favourites and most dramatic stars of the series. A representative for Lauren said “Lauren is concentrating right now on her Kohl’s line and her charity work, which she is very passionate about.”
After eight whole years since one of the most iconic endings to any series, it’s only right that they come together to finally give their fans what they want. Most of the cast have reacted positively to the idea of a reunion, including Spencer, Heidi, and Cavallari. Kristin even said she “would love nothing more than a Hills reunion” on Spencer and Heidi’s podcast, ‘Make Speidi famous again’.
Audrina and Whitney have also mentioned how happy they’d be to reunite now that they’re all in a completely different stage of their lives, with kids of their own.

The only cast member who is supposedly adamant about not creating a reunion is Lo Bosworth. When she was approached about the rumours of a possible reunion, she simply said “F**ck no”, according to E! News. She then went on to say:
I don't want any association with any of those people. The dissociation from all those people is what I'm hungry for. I think everybody actually feels that way about their coworkers, which is really what The Hills was. They were all just my f--king coworkers. It was a job. A j-o-b.
Although it may not be the reunion we all hoped for, it’s still something we would all love to see. Keep an eye out for the pictures and interviews of the crew from the MTV awards, which are on tonight at 2 a.m Irishtime.
