American Vivian Gomez was left baffled after looking back over her home security footage and shared the bizarre video to her Facebook page. The short video shows a small creature that looks exactly like Dobby the House Elf from Harry Potter.

On the Facebook post, Vivian wrote:
So I woke up Sunday morning and saw this on my camera and am trying to figure out...what the heck?? First I saw the shadow walking from my front door then I saw this thing....has anyone else seen this on their cameras?? The other two cameras didn’t pick it up for some reason.
People were quick to spot a second shadow in the video and call out the video as a prank.

Soon after the video was posted Dobby the House Elf was trending on Twitter. Shrewd Twitter users observed Dobby looked as if he was slightly under the influence.

One user was pointed out that it may not be Dobby.

Of all the many deaths throughout Harry Potter, Dobby's emotional death hit viewers the hardest. So much so writer J.K. Rowling took to Twitter in last year to apologise to for killing off the free elf:
It's that anniversary again. This year, I apologise for killing someone who didn't die during the #BattleofHogwarts, but who laid down his life to save the people who'd win it. I refer, of course, to Dobby the house elf.

Whether this is irrefutable proof that Dobby is lives on or an elaborate hoax, we may never know.
We will continue to keep our eyes peeled for possible drunken Dobby sightings.
