The start of 2018 was defined by one thing, and that one thing could only be - for the purposes of this article - Derry Girls.
The first season of the show, written and created by Lisa McGee, proved to be one of the best shows on television in 2018. Hoovering up numerous awards after its release, and the glowing critical reception that accompanied it, it was no surprise that it was quickly locked down for a second season.
Filming for the second season took place toward the end of 2018 and Nicola Coughlan, as well as the other stars of the series, released numerous clips and photos of the behind the scenes shenanigans.
However, with the new season set to be released at some point this year - hopefully sooner rather than later - we have been treated to the first official trailer for the second season and it look suitably brilliant.
