When is Ireland on in the Eurovision?
Ireland's entry Brendan Murray is set to perform 9th on Thursday's semi-final beginning at 8pm and, ironically, he was born the last time Ireland won in 1996.
The song's controversy
There has been a bit of controversy surrounding Brendan's song "Dying To Try" this week as a Eurovision juror from the Norwegian panel, Per Sundnes, said that Ireland had "lost the run of itself" and ranked Ireland's entry with one point during a broadcasted show. The juror has been replaced after "a breach in juror rules".
"Dying to Try" was co-written by songwriter Jörgen Elofsson who has written songs for Westlife, Britney Spears, and Leona Lewis. James Newman, who has written hits Little Mix, also helped write Brendan's entry.

The odds for Ireland to qualify?
As of this afternoon, Brendan's odds of winning the entire shows are 125/1 and 7/4 to go through Thursday's semi-final. Ireland has failed to qualify for the Eurovision 3 times in a row so cross everything that we get through!
