A 3 day Bourbon and BBQ extravaganza is coming to Dublin at the end of May. Kicking off on May 24, the festival will take place in the Bison Bar & BBQ, as well as The Workman's Club, both found on the Quays.
When it comes to the best BBQ joints in the capital, the Bison Bar is regularly mentioned, and Wowburger's efforts in the Workman's club are talked up as the best burgers in the capital.
The festival will include some seriously delicious BBQ action, Bulleit Bourbon whiskey, specially created cocktails, live music, games, competitions and more. As the lads in Bison Bar have put it “Basically, if it fits in our smoker we’re serving it”.

One of the more interesting events of the festival will be a chilli eating competition. Not to suggest covering your mouth in candle wax to protect yourself from the heat, and going hallucinogenic journey with a coyote that sounds suspiciously like Johnny Cash but you do what you have to do.
Beer, and lots of it, will be a major feature of the festival too. The Workman’s rooftop will have pop up craft beer stalls from leading suppliers such as Wicklow Wolf and Crafty Bear.
The best part of all this? Entry to the festival is free. It runs from Friday 24th May to Sunday 26th and more details can be found here
