A list like this has to start with local favourite SHIT ROBOT who is easily one of our greatest exports when it comes to all things bleep. His 'We Got A Love' featuring Reggie Watts is a stone cold house future classic. Former DFA label mates, HERCULES & LOVE AFFAIR blew minds when they played at EP a few years back, and are a welcome return for one of the best live dance acts around. With half of the act taking a break from Hot Chip, THE 2 BEARS are one of the more funloving duos you won't want to miss. Do you like disco? Well then there are a plethora of good DJs playing who can fill this need. Top of the pile is DIMITRI FROM PARIS who blurs the already grey lines between disco and house like no other. Like Dim, the legendary GREG WILSON is a DJ who blends decades and genres like few others. Does anyone actually ever get tired of hearing NILE RODGERS and his mind boggling discography? Not us!
Having more free time since leaving LCD Soundsystem, the brilliant NANCY WHANG has now joined The Juan Maclean. A class DJ in her own right, expect much dancing should you stumble across her set. The much adoredJAMES MURPHY makes a welcome return to these shores. Don't expect to hear him play LCD Soundsystem in his DJ set but fingers crossed he'll a couple of the classic DFA remixes. The mysterious SBTRKT is back with new material and with a live keyboard and drums set-up, could prove to be one of the must sees. For something a bit more on the head nodding end (rather than say total body dancing!) the wonderful JOY ORBISON could fit that bill with his dark soundscapes.
