Ireland is a country with lots to do, especially in the summertime when we showcase our artistic, musical, literary and sporting festivals and events. The summer weather so far has been pretty good, but it's amazing what a little bit of sunshine will add to these already sterling events! Here are 9 awesome events and festivals that are happening in Ireland this weekend.
9. Bray Summerfest.
From live music to great cuisine and family fun, Bray Summerfest brings you the best in Wicklow entertainment! Take one of their helicopter flights along the seafront, enjoy the International Food and Craft markets and see The Riptide Movement, Raglan and The Eskies perform live! The Bray Air Show also takes place on Sunday so you won't want to miss that.
8. Longitude Festival.
Saturday tickets for Longitude Festival are completely sold out, such is the impressive lineup that it has managed to secure this year! Massive Attack, Ben Howard, Disclosure, James Vincent McMorrow, Hozier, Chvrches, The 1975, Cyril Hahn, Krystal Klear and Julio Bashmore to name but a few! Longitude is going to be a phenomenal weekend in Marlay Park!

7. Earagail Arts Festival.
Earagail in Donegal has everything, and this year is celebrating its 25th anniversary as a bilingual multidisciplinary arts festival! This weekend it showcases the Kinnegar Brewery Tour "Follow The Hops", Tuareg guitarist and singer Bombino and the Festifál 2014. Get up to Ireland's most northern county and soak up this amazing arts festival!
6. Run Killarney.
On Saturday 19th July, the Run Killarney Marathon takes place through a magnificent route winding in and out of Killarney National Park and Muckross House. It's open to men and women of all ages and experience and if you sign up, you get a goodie bag and even a massage at the finish line! What more could you want?

5. Cork Cycling Festival.
Down in Cork this weekend? This is a free, family-friendly celebration of bicycle culture. Grab a bike, join in and explore the city and beautiful countryside or a sign up for a workshop. It runs from Saturday 19th July to Sunday 27th and everyone is welcome!

3. Galway International Arts Festival.
Ireland's leading international arts festival has drawn a top quality lineup of bands, artists and events this summer and is sure to be a massive success!
