Let's admit it, 90's kids are the best. Growing up in the late 90's and Noughties we got to see a brand new millennium, the first iPod and we saw the rise and fall of some great TV shows. But when it came to fashion we tried to look good, we really did, but sometimes we failed miserably. Let's take a trip down memory lane and have a look at some of the fashion trends we've all tried and failed to master. Brace yourself...
Ball Hair Bobbles
You will only know true pain if you remember sitting patiently while your Mother puts these in your hair, smacking the hard plastic against your head repeatedly. Why did we bother?
Scrunchies
Soft and squishy, scrunchies came in every colour and pattern you could imagine. Commonly worn with a side ponytail. Hot, just saying.
Butterfly Clips

Combine these with the above-mentioned scrunchie and you were hot to trot.
Stick On Earrings
Stick on earrings, forever either falling off or staying on so well the buggers would nearly rip your whole ear off. Winning!
Snap Bracelets
Impressing everyone by snapping these on with ease, having perfected the method at home. Smooth mover.
Chokers

Chokers were worn by all our idols; Lizzie Maguire, Sabrina and the Spice Girs and so naturally, we loved them. So on-fleek, especially as they somehow, bizarrely seem to be coming back in fashion.
Plastic Rings
And not forgetting that you could break a kids nose on the playground if you had one of these bad boys on.
Mood Rings

How could you possibly have known how you really felt about anything if you're mood ring didn't tell you?!
Flashy Jumpers
Heavy and itchy with designs so bright and abstract they could blind you. Jumpers were essential to any 90's kid and if you didn't know that, well, get on it and spice up your life. (Sorry)
All Denim Everything

Denim was huge in the 90's. All you have to do is look at baby pictures and you'll see us dressed in denim jeans, skirts, shorts, EVERYTHING. The more the merrier.
Velcro, Velcro, Velcro
Velcro shoes, wallets, hair bands, waistbands all helpful for our younger, dumber and less capable selves...not that that's changed much. Bring back the velcro we say!
Flashy Footwear

Do these bring back memories for anyone else? So cute and they lit up!
Jelly Sandals
A 90's summer must-have and are unfortunately back in style right now. Sad times but oh the nostalgia.
Frilly Socks

We couldn't wear any ordinary socks, no. We had to wear frilly socks. A trend back in fashion that to this day I am still unsure of.
Rainbow Belts
You just know we all had one of these belts at some stage.
Scoobies/ Gummy Bracelets

Making over a hundred of these in every colour combination possible and then covering your arms in them, up to your elbow.
Tamagotchi
You could't possible leave this at home, what sort of owner would you be then? WELL?
Looking back on your fashion attempts in the 90's can be a cringe-fest, so beware ladies and gents...
