There's nothing more scared than having a carvery on a Sunday. Whether it's for the gravy or just for soakage, it's a weekly tradition that's never going out of fashion.
Sometimes when we're away for the weekend or visiting family in the country, away from our local, we might not always be sure of the best place to have turkey and ham or roast beef.
Thankfully Knorr, the German food and beverage brand, have done the hard work and research for us and have created two categories for the best hotel and pub carvery of the year in Ireland.
Great Carvery Hotel of the Year
Great Carvery Hotel of the Year Leinster - Whitford House Hotel, Wexford
Great Carvery Hotel of the Year Munster - Castle Hotel, Macroom, Cork
Great Carvery Hotel of the Year Connacht - Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone, Roscommon

Great Carvery Pub of the Year Leinster - Silken Thomas, Kildare
Great Carvery Pub of the Year Munster - Kirby's Brogue Inn, Tralee, Kerry
Great Carvery Pub of the Year Connacht - The Trappers Inn, Castlegar, Galway
Great Carvery Pub of the Year Ulster - The Market Yard, Limavady, Derry
Out of the top eight spots to have a carvery, two of the best carveries will go into the final round and be chosen by Knorr.
All of those shortlised will now be entered into the final, where the two best carveries in Ireland will be decided. In order to be a part of Ireland's greatest carveries, it's about attention to detail, quality of ingredients and the service that sets each carvery apart.
