Gin is the coolest tipple in town at the moment. There are weekend festivals dedicated to the drink, exclusive Gin bars cropping up across the country and now the latest boozy attraction, a Gin & Tonic Tour is coming to Dublin very soon. I personally prefer a whiskey, but the fruit accompaniments just don't work as well. Hendricks garnished with cucumber, Drumshanbo Gunpower Gin garnished with Grapefruit or for those with simpler tastes Gordons with a lemon, the options are endless.
The Gin & Tonic Tour experience, operated by The Dualway Group, is described as 'a tour with a difference'. This unique tour of Dublin is on a Vintage Routemaster bus and visits landmarks like The Pheonix Park, Grafton Street, St Jame's Street, Temple Bar, Thomas Street and Merrion square, all while sipping on a refreshing Gin. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, just the right amount of time to leave nicely merry.
All groups of sizes are welcome, so this could be a great option for your Gin loving friend's birthday. See all the sights Dublin has to offer and disembark the bus at the nearest pub for more Gin.
