Are you excited?
Gone are the days when Halloween was all about how styling you were in your bin liner when you went trick or treating. Now, it's all about wanting to do something for it, without actually having to go to any bars or clubs cos' everywhere will be 'too packed'. This deadly event happening in a secret location in Meath sounds like the perfect antidote to this problem.
On October 29th, in what sounds like an eerie magical setting, a boarding school in a 17th century Georgian mansion in Kells will be hosting Tall Tales – in the Company of Wolves.
Music will be tailored to suit many tastes - there will be funk, ambient electronic music, disco vibes and heavy techno music. Party goers will also be treated to performances, spoken word and visuals from Dublin based theatre collectives such as Sook Beor. You can also get your tarot cards read by an open fire.
"Groove with glittering ghastly ghouls in our grand hall, and get lost dancing until the break of dawn to a high paced electronic soundscape in the depths of the bloody chamber, hidden amongst the walled stables in the courtyard."
This year's party lends itself to the famous female writer, Angela Carter and organisers say: 'We hope to bring her haunting and seductive fairytales to life.'

Don't forget it's BYOB so that should save you a few shillings on the night. Halloween might be all ghosts this and ghouls that but let's face it, the real spook starts when you check your bank balance the next day.
Transport is available to and from Dublin - if you're interested, get yourself a ticket here.
