Remember when women and men all over the world would run to the pharmacy to get hair dye when they saw just one grey hair? Fast forward to um... NEVER, BECAUSE THAT STILL HAPPENS. People still hate getting grey hairs. So why then is dyeing your hair grey the cool thing to do nowadays? According to beauty experts, grey is the most popular hair colour in Ireland, and the world with sales of grey hair dye seeing the biggest increase this year among women aged between 22 and 28.
But why? Megan Potter, the head of beauty at Superdrug, told Byrdie "younger customers are going for metallic grey, recognising that it's a very graceful, sophisticated, look".

Byrdie reckons that grey works well with any skin tone. Sigh.
