You know a life-changing job opportunity when you see one. Well, how would you like to spend six months on Great Blasket Island, off the coast of Kerry, running a café? It sounds like the kind of job opportunity you might read about on a romance novel but this is real.
Four days ago, Island Accommodation and Coffee Shop on Great Blasket Island advertised for a long-term manager. Accommodation and food are provided. The job will run from April to October.
Interestingly, it's actually a job ad for two people - 2 friends or a couple.
The people who run the café told RTÉ there's been huge interest in the job, with applications from South Africa, Alaska and everywhere in between, so don't hesitate!
Great Blasket Island is of course one of the most picturesque places in Ireland, situated just off the Dingle Peninsula.
