As week 7 looms, we reach a point in the regular season where the conference likely lads take shape. To date, the Broncos, the Chiefs, the Saints and the Seahawks have all been in scintillating form, where as last year's conference winners' Baltimore and San Francisco haven't been so sturdy. Of course, it's still quite early to say who'll be there come January, but Matt Carolan fills us in on some of this week's key games.
Denver @ Indianapolis (Sunday, 1am, Channel 4)
Thus far, Peyton Manning has been the league's blatant MVP. The Broncos are 6-0 and haven't really looked like slipping up. However, after an impressive rookie season with the Colts, Andrew Luck and co have been turning heads in the AFC and with a record of 4-2, are very much in contention of a play-off spot so far. Could this be Denver's first loss?
Colts to upset Peyton.

This season has been a disaster for the Giants, no two ways about it. Coughlin's men are 0-6 and are constantly on the cusp of a win, yet fall short each week. The Vikings tell a similar story at 1-4. After an impressive season last year, it seems the reliance on Adrian Peterson has been too much to bare this time around. The trade for Josh Freeman may well revitalise their pass game but surely Eli Manning and the Giants will feel this is the week to turn things around at Metlife Stadium and capitalise on a weak NFC East.
New York to finally get a win.
