The late 90’s was the golden era for the Denver Broncos. Spear-headed by the legendary John Elway, the Broncos recorded their first ever Super Bowl Victory in 1997 before going onto retain their crown the following season. However, following John Elway’s retirement in 1999 the Broncos went into a period of decline as they failed to replace their inspirational quarterback, but following the arrival of the mercurial Peyton Manning in 2012 the glory days look set to return to Colorado.
The Broncos are 3/1 favourites with Bet365 to win it all and barring a massive blip in form, the 2013 season should see the return of the Vince Lombardi Trophy to Mile High Stadium. This season the Broncos have dominated the AFC conference and are currently 10 and 2 and already have one foot in the play offs looking a home schedule all the way through. The attacking line-up of the Broncos is by-far the strongest in America, in their 12 matches so far they have accumulated a total of 464 points, the second place Dallas Cowboys have 329 points, which truly highlights the attacking strength of Denver. Tight end Julius Thomas and wide receiver Demaryius Thomas have ten touchdowns each while running back Knowshon Moreno has nine, these players have been pivotal in making the Broncos attack the best in the league. If they continue in this rich vein of form then they should blitz their remaining opposition and triumph in New York at this year's super Bowl.
The catalyst behind the Broncos revival is their quarterback Peyton Manning who is without question the best in the league. Manning has already thrown 41 touchdowns this season, ten more than his closest rival. The sacred right arm of Manning won a Super Bowl when he carried his Indianapolis side to victory back in 2006 and he is looking more and more likely to repeat the feat this year. Manning is the key ingredient in the Broncos aerial offence.

Granted their defence isn’t the strongest in the League, but with their offence in high flying form, maintaining this sort of form shouldn't be too difficult and a return to the glory days of 1997 and 198 are imminent...
