The sun has started to peak through the clouds and we might just forgo our coats on the way to college...It's beginning to look a lot like summer! Which means it's time to get seriously excited about your holiday plans. If you've yet to decide where to go, or even if you've already got your heart set on a destination, check out the absolute paradise that is South-East Asia.
When your alarm rang this morning, you could barely muster the energy to get out of bed. When you finally managed to make it out the door, you realised you'd forgotten your laptop and had to turn back. You arrived late to a 9am double lecture on financial regulation, for which you forgot to do the homework. Of course, you were selected at random to deliver an impromptu presentation, which lasted 3 minutes and contained a total of nine words... including 'um', 'em', and 'sorry'. The rest of the day was spent in the library, panicking about the essay you have due in two days.
The sunshine on your eyelids and rising temperature in your bedroom wake you gently and gradually. Before you open your eyes, you decide to spend a few minutes listening to the sound of lapping waves from outside your open window. Eventually, you throw off the single sheet you were sleeping under and head out to get some fresh fruit. When you get back, you're still feeling a bit hungover, so you wake up your roommate and walk to the beach for a swim in the warm water.
Having dried off in the midday sun, you get a group together and hop in a few tuk-tuks to visit the nearby temple. After a big dinner with the rest of your mates, you head to the beach for a few drinks and a midnight dip in the sea. Nothing too crazy tonight, you have to preserve your energy for elephant-trekking and kayaking tomorrow... and the Full Moon Party is in two days.
