Being a student isn't a walk in the park. Not only do we have to read 10,000 pages of material we'll never remember, but we have to put up with daily questions like: "so what exactly do you study?", "will you get a job when you leave college?" and, the worst, "being a student is so handy!". We both know being a student is far from handy and here's exactly why:
1. The daily struggle of whether or not you can skip that tutorial and calculating your attendance for that seminar:
Being in college is all about waking up in the morning , contemplating your attendance and falling back asleep! #collegelife

2. Applying for a SUSI grant is harder than trying to negotiate world peace:
If you are a true LOVER of paperwork I cannot do anything but recommend the literal fuckton of the stuff required for an irish college grant

3. Working that part-time job, studying and trying to maintain a social life means relying on substances that make you feel wired:
I’ve literally been running on 95% caffeine and 5% actual sleep ALL week. ???♀️ #CollegeLife

4. The constant struggle to get yourself in the right mind frame to study for an exam:
I really need to study for this test
*Thinks about the possibility of failure and becomes overwhelmed*
I'll have time to study later, right?
*Actively avoids anything that reminds me of class*#anxietyproblems #collegelife— Smoliver Kirkland (@OliverKirklover) February 22, 2018

5. The word "contribution" means you're going to have to waffle in some tutorials and dealing with the aftermath of cringe that comes with that:
When your professor asks for class particicpation... #nottoday #classparticipation #participation #university #college #challenges #studentstruggle #college #collegelife #lectures #class #student #studentproblems #chicago #seattle #phoenix #miami #newyork #no pic.twitter.com/u19c620hc7

6. Promising payment to your family and friends if they do your assignment when in reality you don't have a penny:
i will pay someone to do this research paper for me #dying #collegelife

7. Tailoring your degree to suit the job you want:

8. The regrets that come with being overly focused on college work are too real:
I have some regrets about taking my college life for granted. I focused on grades. I didn’t invest in experiences. Don’t limit your growth on the numerical values that they assign to you. Get involved, engage, and have fun. Years after you graduate those grades won’t even matter.

Don't be too hard on yourself. For most of us, it's a once in a lifetime gig.
