Wrap up well tonight cos it's going to be absolutely freezing.
It's a night for onesies and hot water bottles with temperatures set to drop in parts of the country. Met Éireann have issued a Status Orange Low Temperature warning from 9pm tonight 10am tomorrow morning.
Their statement says:
Low Temperature Warning for Munster, inland areas of Leinster, Connacht, Donegal, Monaghan and Cavan.
Turning very cold tonight with lowest temperatures falling between -4 and -6 degreesaway from southern and eastern coasts.
Some low temperatures recorded overnight at our weather stations around the country.
Ballyhaise: -5.5C
Markree: -5.5C
Mount Dillon: -4.0C
Athenry: -4.0C
Gurteen: -3.6CLowest grass temperature was recorded at Markree station at 8am this morning at -11.25C.

We should count ourselves lucky really. However much we're shivering tonight, it won't be as bone chillingly cold as it is in the US and Canada.
