Everyone loves to poke fun at Miley but when the facts are laid out how do you measure up against her when we cut through all the hype?

Does this measure up against her multiple international awards in a number of areas. Acting, music, song writing and producing. Also little know fact that she was born left handed but her dad Billy Ray taught her to write right handed.
She Shakes / Twerks off controversy
After the VMAs everyone talked smugly about the demise of Miley but when you try something controversial that you think will be seen as edgy and cool you end up embarrassing yourself at the work Christmas party. She does it and everyone talks about her and continue to talks about her for months afterwards. Riding a wave of publicity heaven where antic after antic results in her profile sky-rocketing and her reaping all the rewards that come with it since. Purely accidental right? I mean you said her career was over didn't you?

How much ability do you have to provoke change?
When you want to take a stance on something you take to twitter and make some deep philosophical statement that gets a couple of retweets. You go to bed happy that night having changed the world. Butterfly flaps it's wings and not what. Miley makes a statement about gay marriage on Twitter (interesting for a devout christian who gets up every morning at 5am to read the bible) and it gets 300,000 retweets and the media storm that follows forces her to shut-down her Twitter with 2 million followers. The struggle for gay marriage receives a huge boost.

Miley or Sinead?
Is Sinead O'Connor really the caring mother of pop music that she claims to be? Attempting to take Miley under her wing away from the bad industry people? This has been the debate. Sinead has commented that Miley is contributing to the death of music. That is an interesting one? Nothing compares to you was all the way back in 1990. A more cynical person than I would suggest your open letter to Miley was a bit of a publicity stunt in itself.
I think there is a very smart PR team behind Miley who know exactly what they are doing quietly summed up by this quote from her prior to the VMAs. “You’re always gonna make people talk, you might as well make them talk for like two weeks rather than two seconds,”
