9 Natural Ways To Help Ease The Excruciating Agony Of Period Pain

So it's that time of the month and yet again, you're hunched over in pure agony as a result of cramps. Cramps are unfortunately one of the downsides of being a woman, and can feel like multiple minions slowly punching at your uterus for five days straight.

Although painkillers are great for easing the pain, it's best not to rely on these bad boys as if you find yourself without them, you might not be able to cope. That's where we come in. There are a myriad of different ways you can help ease period pain without swallowing a pill, so read them and weep. (well maybe not)

1. A good old hot water bottle

This has an alkalising effect on the body and keep the body hydrated and mineralised.

These help with balancing hormones making the pain ease away.

5. Go for a run

6. Have some ginger and cinnamon tea

This home concoction is another way to naturally balance your hormones. Put half a teaspoon of cinnamon and a few slices of ginger into hot water, let it steep for 5 minutes and drink up.

These will give you lots of fibre and magnesium which again, help balance hormones.

9. Get some more sleep

The best way to relieve cramps above all is sleep. By relaxing your body through deep sleep, you will allow your muscles to de-stress and relax.
