Some routes may remain unpassable for buses and schools are expected to contact the families if bus routes are not running.
Some decisions on individual school transport routes may still not be confirmed until Monday morning given changing local conditions. Where possible, information on routes not running will be provided on the Bus Eireann website - https://t.co/WA2wmLvsS6 #StormEmma

Further snow and ice are expected over the next number of days but not to the extent of Storm Emma. A number of rural schools may not open but the local authorities will not make a decision until Sunday. Schools were told to keep the heating on for the week ahead to stop pipes from freezing.
We will keep you updated on colleges that will open Monday or remain closed by tomorrow.
