It is being reported that Leo Varadkar is to extend an invitation of an official visit to Ireland to Donald Trump when he meets the leader later today.
The Taoiseach is on his first official US visit for St. Patrick's Day, as is custom for Irish leaders each year.
One would assume that Donald Trump, the answer to the question, "What would it look like if someone made a scarecrow out of take-away nuggets and social apathy?" would accept such such an invitation were it offered. Though given that his proposed state visit to the UK had to be cancelled due to the threat of protests one would assume there is a similar danger here. The thing to do is to cause no stink about it, should he accept, until he is in the country and then, unleash hot holy hell.
