Parts of Ireland have been transformed into a winter wonderland overnight with Met Eireann issuing two status orange weather warnings for many counties including Laois, Offaly and Tipperary. It was only a matter of time really before public transported was affected.
Bus Eireann has cancelled one route that runs through Laois Offaly due to the snow, a route which could well impact students going to college in Dublin or Limerick.
The service won't be operating the Expressway 12 Route which uses the M7 and stops in Portlaoise, because of heavy snowfall.

This is a particular awkward time for students, as many are in the midst of the Christmas exams. At the time of writing, colleges including University of Limerick and NUI Galway have advised students to give themselves extra time to travel to the exam centres tomorrow.
Keep an eye Bus Eireann site for any updates.
