The station was closed for some two hours after a suspicious package was discovered between platforms 1&2.

The army's bomb squad were called in to deal with the threat, with trains continuing through, but not stopping at, the station.
Local houses and businesses, including parts of the IFSC were evacuated due to the emergency.
