Dublin Bus cash fares could be gone very soon as the company are planning to go cashless to reduce travel times across the city.
The lads at the National Transport Authority want to make like London and improve travel times by scrapping the usage of coins altogether. According to the Herald, around 70% of commuters use Leap cards so the company want everyone to make the change.
For users who love using their cash fares however, Dublin bus suggest buying your ticket in your local shop. The plus side to all of this is that you might actually be in time for college, but if you forget to top up your leap card you might be in a spot of trouble.
The change is expected to take place in the next 3 to 5 years.
