It is unclear whether it is linked to his disappearance
As the search for Trevor Deely's remains continues in Chapelizod, Gardaí have uncovered a gun. It is believed the gun was found yesterday in a piece of derelict land, as officers search for Deely following a tip-off from an informant.
Trevor went missing almost 17 years ago on his way home from a Christmas party and his disappearance has been a mystery ever since. The 22-year-old Bank of Ireland worker was last spotted on CCTV on Haddington Road, just after 4am. A man dressed in black, can also be seen in the footage following him in the direction of Haddington Road. Gardaí believe the same man spoke to Trevor just minutes before, outside his workplace. The footage was only made public earlier this year and the man has yet to come forward. You can watch the footage below.
