Gardaí are warning car owners of robberies that involve unoccupied cars that are left running to defrost the windshield. Sharing a post on Twitter, An Garda Siochana advised road users not to leave their cars running during defrosting. Two cars were stolen this morning when owners left the keys in the ignition to defrost the car.

To avoid being targeted motorists are being advised to use ice scrapers on their windshields. Other ways to defrost your car window is by mixing water and rubbing alcohol together and spraying your windshield.
