Thousands of workers on their way into Dublin this morning faced massive delays as a result of services suspended into and out of Heuston due to a major signal fault.
Irish railed Tweeted on the matter this morning:
Update:No services operating into and out of Heuston due to a major signal fault. This is impacting all intercity, Portlaoise Commuter and Newbridge/Hazelhatch to Grand Canal Dock services. Efforts are ongoing to rectify the problem.Update to follow

They have also advised customers to seek alternative transport.
Update: Ongoing efforts to rectify the signal fault at Heuston. We are advising all customers who have not yet arrived at a station to seek alternative transport as there are no services moving into and out of Heuston

The latest updates from Twitter show that some services are being operated through a manual signalling system. The Portlaoise Communter and Hazelhatch to Grand Canal Dock services remain suspended.
Update: 05:50 Cork Heuston, 05:30 Limerick Heuston and 06;15 Cork Heuston and 05:40 Portlaoise Heuston are back moving. These services are being operated through a manual signalling system. Nothing else moving at present
