First Toblerones, now this.
Malteser share bags have been a staple part of any cinema experience since the dawn of time, until now. The share bags have been recently reduced in size and people are not happy.
They have been reduced from 121g down to 103g, which is a whopping 15% reduction, according to Metro. People have been raging about this online and have dubbed the whole ordeal #maltesergate.
First, they came for our Toblerones... #Maltesergate

Mars have released this official statement in response;
Like all chocolate manufacturers, we have seen the cost of raw materials rise and, while we try to absorb these pressures as much as possible, sometimes we have to make the difficult decision to reduce the size of some of our products so our consumers can continue to enjoy an affordable treat.

My trust in chocolate companies has now dropped considerably. Enjoy your chocolate before something like this happens.
