There is nothing more annoying then sitting on an uncomfortable chair. Well, with that in mind, let me introduce you to Mexico's sexual harassment chair - the first of its kind.The "penis seat" has a torso, a groin and a flaccid penis. All the body parts have been moulded on to a train seat. The seat was implemented by Mexico City's Metro and has gone viral after a video was posted online showcasing commuter reactions to the seat:
The seat is only meant for men which has received mixed reactions from the public for being sexist. The aim of the chair is to make men feel a fraction of the un-comfortability that women experience when they are sexually harassed in public. The sign below the chair reads: ‘It’s uncomfortable to sit here but it doesn’t compare with the sexual violence that women suffer in their everyday lives.’ Mexico City officials have reported that 9 out of 10 women in Mexico City have been victims of some form of sexual violence or harassment.
