Looks like rain Ted.
You think we'd be well used to the bad weather by now, wouldn't you? It's hardly a news-worthy groundbreaking revelation, that rain pours in Ireland. Yet once again, the heavens have opened and the country has been brought its knees. As the country gets a battering, chaos continues to ensue. Extreme flooding, gridlock, road closures and the entire population going mental because they can't get where they're supposed to be. 'Eh sorry, I'm going to be about five hours late to work today.'
In the midst of bedlam, Irish people have hit up Twitter to share their experiences of today's madness.

Like the rest of us, people are losing the will to live.
If anyone needs me I will be on this bus for the rest of my natural life and possibly eternity. #flooding #dublintraffic pic.twitter.com/tRPOG8pZHj

And it's not just people stuck in traffic that are feeling the hit, rural areas are getting it too.

With some wondering why Ireland still hasn't managed to grasp the basics when it comes to an outpour.

As ever, humour and sarcasm prevails when people are having the shittest day ever.
It's A good thing that Ireland in November isn't super rainy... My rain boots are in my luggage lost by @British_Airways .... Oh wait..

Met Eireann are gas all the same - Storm Ophelia - over a weeks notice, country on lockdown, no transport, people building bunkers !!! - Then 6 hours after we get creamed with Rain they come out and issue a yellow weather warning ⚠️ hahahahaha. Only in Ireland.

With a lot of people getting pissed off at other's driving skills.
It rains in Ireland...a lot...and it still shocks me how many people out there don’t know how to drive in it! I don’t know how many times I shouted at people because they were either up my rear or not giving me a chance to leave braking distance...

Sure hasn't it provided us with endless small talk convos about the weather? Terrible day out there.
