Notions: Spicy Flavoured Skittles And Starbursts Are Coming Out This Year

This is just peak notions. Sweet companies are getting more and more inventive these days with even weirder combinations so when we heard about the new Skittles and Starburst Sweet Heat flavour we didn't even know what to believe.

The Sweet Heat flavour will be out in December 2017 and promises sweet-lovers "fruity flavours with a spicy kick". The announcement was made at the National Confectioners Association’s Sweets & Snacks Expo in Chicago by Wrigley. Some of the flavours set to be featured in the new 'collection' include Fiery Watermelon and Sizzlin' Strawberry.

People of the Twitter-verse were quick to comment on the unusual combination, with some almost gagging at the thought of it.

Wish I didn't have to wait until December to try the new @Skittles and @Starburst sweet heat flavors.
