Trinity College is known for sticking to tradition but in the 2018/19 academic year, that will all change. According to the University Times, the Trinity College academic year will now include a revision week before Christmas exams.
Apparently this change is being made to avoid the new Christmas exams from occurring a week after the last classes and was approved by University Council.
There are a lot of changes going on at Trinity in the coming years as part of the Trinity Education Project, with the merger of Freshers' Week and marking week, and the reduction of the marking period in the second term from four to three weeks. The project is a reinvention of how Trinity students are taught and assessed.

TCDSU Education Officer, Dale Whelehan, told The University Times, “Before this, there was no opportunity for students to have any revision before the examinations.”
Interesting stuff. What are your thoughts?
