Irish rail shared a video of an incident that happened at lunchtime today to highlight the dangers for truck drivers not knowing their load height. The video shows an articulated truck which is transporting a tractor and a digger driving beneath a bridge in a busy area in Dublin centre, Amiens St. As the truck drives through the bridge the crane of the digger catches on the bridge causing a serious hazard. Irish rail warns that had pedestrians, cyclists of motorists had been on the other side of the road there could have been a fatality.

Irish Rail shared also shared on their Twitter page that engineers have cleared bridge at Amien street it is now safe for traffic. Normal service resuming with a 10 minute delay. Luckily, there were no injuries were reported.

This isn' t the first such an incident has happened at the Amiens St bridge. Last month a similar incident occurred when a truck got stuck under the bridge.
