As if you needed any reasons to visit Lisbon, here are 5 anyway
The Irish weather has become about as predictable as referendums abroad. We've had glorious sunshine in March followed by dramatic drops in temperatures. There is no denying the effects of climate change, even for the biggest sceptics out there. If you feel like you need a healthy dose of Vitamin D, but the sound of lying around the pool on a sun lounger doesn't send your pulses running then Lisbon is the city for you. A regular feature in the top cities to visit list, here are the reasons to visit Lisbon.
Timeout Market
Lisbon is foodie heaven and at the Timeout market you have all that mouthwatering food in one place. Make sure to go on an empty stomach, try some samples from different stalls and wash it all down with a refreshing cocktail. Lisbon is famed for its delicious seafood and the best custard tarts (Pastel de nata), you can't leave Lisbon without trying one.
Rooftop Bars

Lisbon has a great selection of rooftop bars. You can sip on a drink while taking in the breathtaking view of the city. One of the coolest, albeit, most difficult to find rooftop bars is Park bar. Park bar is situated at the very top of a standard car park, so you can be forgiven if you wander around aimlessly trying to find it. Simply, get the lift to the top floor and there before you is a trendy rooftop bar. Never take the stairs.

Sun, Sea and Surf
Lisbon is often referred to as the sunshine capital of Europe, it is one of the cities that catches the most sun. Great for those sun worshipers out there, but be warned, Lisbon also comes with a lot of hills so walking around in this dead heat can be challenging. Make sure you bring comfy shoes. To escape the heat of the city, just a short drive away is Portugal's best surfing coastline.
