Harry Potter is the gift that just keeps giving. There are so many Harry Potter related travel experiences, fans can visit Edinburgh where it all began when JK Rowling wrote the books in a small cafe drawing inspiration from the city, they can visit Harry Potter World in London which brings the books to life and now Harry Potter fans can stay in a cottage inspired by Hagrid's Hut.
The Harry Potter-inspired ground keepers cottage is located on North Shire a family farm located in the outstanding North York Moors National Park in North Yorkshire, England. With views of the sea & breathtaking rolling countryside, this magical accommodation promises to be a once in a lifetime experience.
See for yourself, the interior to the cottage looks truly amazing, far more luxurious than my memories of Hagrid's living quarters:

The ground keepers cottage sleeps 6 people and is decked out with small added details for Harry Potter fans like an ink bottle and quill. North Shire's vision is to create a fairytale or storybook holiday for guests. There is also a range of other accommodation options on North Shire farm including Shepard's huts and caravans and camping. Adding to the overall experience there is also miniature ponies, goats and other farmyard animals to entertain guests.
Speaking about her motivation for opening the storybook inspired holiday home, the owner Carol Cavendish said:
Books have always been an important part of my life even after being diagnosed with dyslexia when I taught myself to read. They've also helped me through challenging times when I would turn to the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings books for pure escapism. That's why it is so fantastic to create an environment where others can also leave behind everyday life and step into their favourite storybook.
Harry Potter fans can stay in the cottage for £195 (€227) a night. To find out more or book your stay visit the North Shire website.
